Mural Unveiling - Pekin Park

The Pekin Community Betterment Organization invites the public to a special event celebrating the unveiling of the Shelter House Mural at the Pekin Park, painted by artist Kayla Troutman and inspired by the IU Rural Placemaking Studio students from IU Bloomington.

This mural project includes contributions and collaboration from the IU Bloomington Rural Placemaking Studio and IU Center For Rural Engagement.

This is a free, public event — all are welcome to attend.

Creation of the mural was made possible through generous grants from The Pekin Community Betterment Organization, Washington County, IN Community Foundation and The Indiana Arts Commission.

If accommodations are needed a person can contact Shelby-lain Whitaker by phone or email within 14 days of the scheduled event. Accommodations after 14 days will be accommodated to the best of their abilities.
